nanoOasis is a diffusion world model. There is no game engine underneath the Snake you play, no grid and no collision code. A neural network hallucinates every frame one at a time, reacting to your keypresses, and it learned the snake, the apple, growing when you eat, and dying when you hit a wall purely from watching pixels. The whole stack is about 2,400 lines of Python, trains end to end for under $50, and runs in your browser over WebGPU. Getting there was mostly failure. Snake is the fourth game I tried: a platformer was too static to learn from, and Breakout burned roughly $600 of training runs on a ball that kept fading and bricks that would not break. The unlock was not a smarter model but a problem shaped to fit one, a grid game where a single cell is exactly one of the model's tokens, so nothing it ever has to draw is smaller than its atomic unit.
